Our Privacy Promise

EMI Se Azaadi is built on a privacy-first architecture. Your financial documents live in YOUR Google Drive. We read and analyze them to provide insights, but we never store your raw financial data on our servers. You own your data, always.

1. Who We Are

EMI Se Azaadi (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a financial freedom platform operated from India. Our platform helps users eliminate debt, optimize spending, and achieve financial independence.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you sign up using Google OAuth, we receive your name, email address, and Google profile picture. We do not receive or store your Google password.

Financial Documents: You may grant us read-only access to specific financial documents (bank statements, credit card statements) stored in your Google Drive. These documents are processed in real-time to generate insights and are NOT stored on our servers.

User Preferences: Dashboard settings, debt entries, calculator inputs, and strategy preferences are stored to provide a personalized experience.

Usage Data: We collect anonymized usage analytics (pages visited, features used) to improve the platform. No financial data is included in analytics.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Classify transactions as Need, Growth, or Avoidable
  • Provide AI-driven financial coaching and recommendations
  • Send service-related communications (optional marketing emails with consent)

4. Data Storage Architecture

What stays in YOUR Google Drive:

  • Bank statements (PDF/CSV)
  • Credit card statements
  • All raw financial documents

What we store on our servers:

  • Your account profile (name, email)
  • Dashboard preferences and settings
  • Debt entries you manually create
  • Subscription status

What we NEVER store:

  • Raw bank or credit card statements
  • Transaction-level financial data
  • Bank login credentials
  • Credit card numbers or CVVs

5. Google API Services

EMI Se Azaadi uses Google OAuth 2.0 for authentication and Google Drive API for accessing your financial documents. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only request the minimum permissions needed to provide our services.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or financial information to third parties. We may share anonymized, aggregated data for analytics purposes. We may share data with service providers (payment processor, hosting) strictly to operate the platform, under confidentiality agreements.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure OAuth token handling, and encrypted data storage. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure. We encourage you to use strong passwords and enable 2FA on your Google account.

8. Your Rights

  • Access: View all data we hold about you from your dashboard
  • Delete: Request complete deletion of your account and all associated data
  • Revoke: Disconnect Google Drive access anytime from your Google account settings
  • Export: Download your data in a standard format
  • Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications anytime

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We use analytics cookies (with your consent) to understand how the platform is used. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings.

10. Children's Privacy

EMI Se Azaadi is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

This privacy policy is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
